All Nippon Airways Selects CMC Electronics' Latest Generation SatLite® Compact Satcom High Gain Antenna

(Farnborough Airshow - July 17, 2006) All Nippon Airways (ANA) has selected CMC Electronics' new, compact Satellite Communications (Satcom) high gain antenna system known as SatLite® for its long-range B737-700ER aircraft. ANA is the first airline scheduled to take delivery of SatLite-equipped aircraft beginning in February 2007. CMC's SatLite is ARINC 781-compliant and supports Inmarsat Aero-H, H+, Swift64 and SwiftBroadBand satellite communications services. The design of the top-mounted low-profile antenna with integrated Beam Steering Unit is based on CMC's field proven proprietary technology and architecture used in its industry leading CMA-2102 high gain antenna system.

An important benefit for customers is the SatLite antenna's compatibility with new generation (ARINC 781) and legacy (ARINC 741) terminal equipment. The SatLite antenna measures 6.7 cm high by 99.3 cm long by 36.2 cm wide, and weighs 7.6 kg. The antenna's robust performance at low elevation angles provides superior performance while the aircraft is turning and at high latitudes, thereby offering coverage beyond Inmarsat's specified hemispherical zone.

CMC's Vice President Marketing and Sales, Ms. Cathy Bain, stated that: "CMC is very pleased to have such an important airline as ANA to be an early customer for SatLite. ANA and CMC have established an excellent business relationship on several major programs and we look forward to expanding our support to ANA with this exciting new product."

ANA stated that: "We have selected CMC's SatLite because of its superior technical qualities and in recognition of CMC's industry-leading Satcom expertise and track record of delivering highly reliable, quality products on time. With the selection of SatLite, ANA looks forward to providing its customers with SwiftBroadBand satellite communications services on our new B737-700ER aircraft."
