Esterline Expects TSO by Q4 2018 for the New GPS Precision Approach Solution

Farnborough International Airshow, July 16, 2018 – Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) is pleased to announce the new CMA-6024 GPS precision approach sensor that delivers both SBAS LP/LPV and GBAS GLS. As a standard-fit ARINC 743C compliant receiver, it can be integrated in a wide range of new-build or in-service aircraft. The CMA-6024 will be certified to the current and upcoming TCCA and FAA TSO requirements, the current RTCA Minimum Operational Performance Specifications, and to Design Assurance Level A (DAL-A).

Esterline successfully completes testing of their CMA-5024 GLSSU on the B737NG aircraft family

Farnborough International Airshow – July 9, 2018 - Esterline Avionics Systems is pleased to announce the successful completion of ground tests and flight tests of their SBAS-capable CMA-5024 GLSSU on B737NG aircraft with the goal of obtaining an STC for ADS-B out and SBAS/GPS Navigation. With all testing completed on a Boeing B737-700 aircraft, the STC is anticipated for Q4 2018 for all B737NG aircraft types (-700/-800/-900). The option for LPV approach capability will be available as well.
